Galaxy-Wide News An ansible beacon, detectable from anywhere in the cluster and originating from the Heart System summons all races to the Ring Station to participate in the Ring Council. It is whispered in the bar on Starlight Station that the most accomplished spy in the Galaxy is Scientist 003. The most inept spy is The Tribe diplomat Felix. Heart Region The Scientists and the Terpsichorans became the first two races to acheive representation at the Ring Station. The arriving delegations were greeted by the Keepers, a race of cyborgs, responsible for the upkeep of The Ring. The Tribe's fleet arrived at the Barter system, laden with trade goods. The previously xenophobic Hive race created some surprise when their delegate arrived at Barter, apparently bound for The Ring. Heartstrand Region The Terran Humans continue to struggle with their overpopulation problem. In resposne to the increased trade resulting from recent Human contact with the galaxy at large, the Ouroborus route was successfuly extended to include a station at Sol. Cocoon Nebula Region The Majestic Sapien diplomatic envoy, Sir Mojnar arrived at Cappernau en route to the Ring Station. Olympus Region A ship of the mysterious Ilithis race arrived at Satyr station. Otherwise, Olympus region was quiet. Farstrand Region Individuals claiming to represent the Terpsichoran race announced that they would take a role of galactic leadership in the new era heralded by the discovery of The Ring. Things were quiet on the Ilithid homeworld. At least, that's what the Ilithids say. Transept Region The Terpsichoran colony at Selenis protested the Orcheran presence on Selenis I. "Selenis I and II have had Terpsichoran colonies since before the Orcheran's acheived space travel. Our claim to these worlds is clear." Propsero Region The Orcheran fleet continued to have serious problems with the pirates that inhabit their home system. Despite their best efforts, piracy seems to be growing. Widows Gap Although The Hive has been slow to admit the existence of the problem, Traders report that the Insectoid homeworld of Home Hive is experiencing an ongoing famine.
